Statement by Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco (R,C,I-Schenectady, Saratoga) On the Passing of Assemblywoman Sandra Lee Wirth (R-Erie, Niagara)

"Sandra Lee Wirth was a petite woman but she had the heart of a lion and she fought every single day for her constituents. It didn't matter what party you belonged to, she would work with anyone if it meant bettering the lives of those she represented. She carried that same determination into her final battle against cancer with the noble dignity, grace and grit that we all came to know her by and love her for. Western New York lost a champion and the State Legislature lost a true friend. The Assembly Minority Conference and I are truly saddened by this loss and our hearts go out to the friends, family and loved ones of this outstanding woman. Sandra Lee will be dearly missed."
