Statement From Assembly Minority Leader
Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) On Veterans Day

"The courageous men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces deserve our collective gratitude and respect. As the father, son, brother and uncle of U.S. military veterans, I understand the importance of those who have served in the military and the challenges they face along with their families. Our veterans defend the very freedoms that define America and protect our lives and our liberty, often at the expense of their own.

Our nation's veterans have given their blood, sweat and tears and continue to fight for the ideals of liberty and democracy, which at home and abroad, create lasting peace and prosperity. They serve all of us, regardless of background, to protect our freedoms and create a better place for our children and grandchildren to inherit.

Veterans offer great strength to our nation and without the brave men and women of our military, so much we hold dear would be at risk. This Veterans Day, please take a moment to reflect on the enormity of the sacrifices our veterans made and express your appreciation to those who have served."
