CUNY Chancellor Matthew Goldstein presents New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver with the CUNY Educational Leadership Award, citing his longstanding support for quality public higher education and exemplary leadership in obtaining funding to rebuild Fiterman Hall at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, which was irreparably damaged on September 11th, 2001. The award presentation took place on Sunday, January 11th, 2009 at a CUNY College Information Fair held at Seward Park Educational Campus on Manhattan’s Lower East Side and co-sponsored by Speaker Silver.
