The earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan today have caused untold devastation and heartbreaking loss of life. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost loved ones and to those who have been injured and lost their homes. I and my colleagues in the Assembly stand in solidarity with the people of Japan, as well as the many New Yorkers who have relatives and friends there.
