LEGISLATIVE ACTION

The Legislature denies the Executive request to fund Zoos, Botanical Gardens
and Aquariums from the Environmental Protection Fund and provides $4,952,000
in General Fund support within the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic
Preservation.

The Legislature provides funding of $250,000 for services and expenses related
to the repair and restoration of New York State Division monuments in the
Gettysburg Battlefield.

Article VII

The Legislature accepts the Executive proposal to increase snowmobile registration
fees. However, the Legislature denies the Executive proposal to increase boat
registration fees and establish a new vessel access surcharge. This surcharge
denial results in a corresponding $650,000 decrease in Special Revenue - Other
Funds since the proposed new surcharge revenues would have been deposited into
the I Love NY Water Account.
