The State University Construction Fund is a public benefit corporation which was
established in 1962 to serve as the construction agent for academic buildings,
dormitories, and other facilities at state-operated institutions and statutory
colleges under the jurisdiction of the State University of New York (SUNY).
Consistent with the Capital Construction Plan, the Fund oversees the
construction, acquisition, renovation and reconstruction of these academic
facilities.

The State University Construction Fund is included within the Education, Labor
and Family Assistance appropriation bill.

State Operations

The Executive proposes an increase in Special Revenue Funds-Other appropriations
of $10,900,000, an increase of $74,000 above SFY 2000-01 levels. This reflects
the cost of maintaining personnel levels to support the design and construction
workload associated with the implementation of the Capital Investment Program.
