JUSTIFICATION:
Volunteer firefighters perform dangerous duties each and every day in
our communities. They offer reliable protection to our health, well-be-
ing and property. They receive no compensation for their efforts except
our heartfelt thanks and a small "pension like" benefit after years of
service. These changes were requested by the Sanborn Volunteer and
Exempt Firemen's Benevolent Association and are identical to language
found in the formation of the Cold Spring Harbor Fire Benevolent Associ-
ation in 2018, and the revision of the existing association in North
Tarrytown in 2019.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
None to the State.

premiums received on and after January 1, 2024,
