  TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 672 of the laws of 1993, amending the public authorities law relating to the construction and financing of facilities for certain public libraries, in relation to including the Olean Public Library   PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To amend chapter 672 of the laws of 1993, amending the public authori- ties law relating to the construction and financing of facilities for public libraries, in relation to including the Olean Public Library.   SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Amending the public authorities law relating to the construction and financing facilities for certain public libraries, in relation to including the Olean Public Library.   JUSTIFICATION: Public libraries are centers for the community and allow citizens of all ages to immerse themselves in knowledge. With the usage of financial agencies such as DASNY, a low cost, large issuer of tax-exempt municipal bonds, it allows public libraries to economically fund renovation and relocation projects.   PRIOR LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: New Bill   FISCAL IMPLICATIONS FOR STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS: None   EFFECTIVE DATE: This act shall take effect immediately.

        AN ACT to amend chapter 672 of the laws of  1993,  amending  the  public
          authorities  law relating to the construction and financing of facili-
          ties for certain public libraries, in relation to including the  Olean
          Public Library
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 5 of chapter 672 of the laws of 1993, amending  the
     2  public  authorities  law  relating  to the construction and financing of
     3  facilities for certain public libraries, is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     4  subdivision 55 to read as follows:
     5    55. Olean Public Library
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
