        Introduced by M. of A. DiPIETRO -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Ways and Means
 
        AN  ACT relating to funding for the office for people with developmental
          disabilities
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The sum of one billion dollars ($1,000,000,000), or so much
     2  thereof  as  may  be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the office for
     3  people with developmental disabilities out of any moneys appropriated to
     4  the metropolitan transportation authority in the 2023-2024 state  fiscal
     5  plan,  and  made  immediately  available  for  programs and services for
     6  persons with developmental disabilities. Such moneys shall be payable on
     7  the audit and warrant  of  the  comptroller  on  vouchers  certified  or
     8  approved by the commissioner of the office for people with developmental
     9  disabilities in the manner prescribed by law.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect April 1, 2023.
