        AN  ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to prohibiting smok-
          ing on campuses and facilities owned or operated by the state  univer-
          sity of New York
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-

        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraphs q and r of subdivision 1 of  section  1399-o  of
     2  the  public  health  law, as amended by chapter 389 of the laws of 2011,
     3  are amended and a new paragraph s is added to read as follows:
     4    q. zoos; [and]
     5    r. bingo facilities[.]; and
     6    s. any campus or facility owned or operated by the state university of
     7  New York.
     8    § 2.  Subdivision 2 of section 1399-o of the  public  health  law,  as
     9  added by chapter 389 of the laws of 2011, is amended to read as follows:
    10    2.  Smoking  shall  not  be permitted and no person shall smoke in the
    11  following outdoor areas:
    12    a. ticketing, boarding or platform areas of railroad stations operated
    13  by the metropolitan transportation authority or its subsidiaries; and

    14    b. any campus or facility owned or operated by the state university of
    15  New York.
    16    § 3. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
    17  it shall have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition,  amend-
    18  ment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implemen-
    19  tation  of this act on its effective date is authorized to be made on or
    20  before such date.
