        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to requiring the state to
          pay  local municipalities' share of the costs not covered by municipal
          public assistance from the federal government
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  The executive law is amended by adding a new section 29-i
     2  to read as follows:
     3    § 29-i. State contribution of aid.  Notwithstanding any  provision  of
     4  law to the contrary, where the president of the United States has issued
     5  a  disaster declaration for one or more counties or other municipalities
     6  in the state for weather related conditions on and between August  twen-
     7  ty-sixth,  two thousand eleven and September twelfth, two thousand elev-

     8  en, and where the federal government shall pay seventy-five  percent  of
     9  the  costs,  the  state  is  authorized and shall pay all authorized and
    10  eligible costs of such counties or other municipalities related to  such
    11  disaster.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
