AN ACT to amend the state law, in relation to the description of certain
assembly and senate districts
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subdivisions 2, 3, 5, 7, 14, 15, 19, 21, 48, 49, 54, 55,
2 56, 62, 71, 72, 77, 86, 88, 93, 98 and 140 of section 121 of the state
3 law, as added by chapter 16 of the laws of 2012, are amended to read as

38 § 2. Subdivision 42 of section 124 of the state law, as added by chap-
39 ter 16 of the laws of 2012, is amended to read as follows:
40 42. Forty-second district. The county of Sullivan; and in the county
41 of Delaware the towns of Colchester, [Deposit] Delhi, Hamden, [Hancock,]
42 Masonville, Tompkins, Walton; and in the county of Orange the cities of
43 Middletown, Port Jervis, the towns of Deerpark, Goshen, Greenville,
44 Hamptonburgh, Minisink, Mount Hope, Tuxedo, Wallkill, Warwick, Wawayan-
45 da; and in the county of Ulster the towns of Denning, Gardiner, New
46 Paltz, Rosendale, Shawangunk, Wawarsing.
47 § 3. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section or part of this act
48 shall be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
49 such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder ther-
50 eof, but shall be confined in its operation to the clause, sentence,
51 paragraph, section or part thereof directly involved in the controversy
52 in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
53 § 4. This act shall take effect immediately and shall be deemed to
54 have been in full force and effect on and after the effective date of
55 section 1 of chapter 16 of the laws of 2012, took effect.
