        Introduced  by  Sen. RITCHIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
        AN ACT to authorize and direct the New York  state  power  authority  to
          acquire through purchase the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law, rule or regulation to
     2  the contrary, the New York  state  power  authority  is  authorized  and
     3  directed to acquire or contract to acquire through purchase or the exer-
     4  cise  of  the  power of eminent domain, the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear
     5  Power Plant located in the town of Scriba, county of Oswego.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
