        Introduced by Sens. STEC, BORRELLO, HELMING, PALUMBO, WEIK -- read twice
          and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee

        AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation to exempting any land located
          in the state forest preserve in the Adirondack and Catskill parks from
          certain  provisions  of law relating to prohibiting firearms in public
          parks
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Paragraph (d) of subdivision 2 of section 265.01-e of the
     2  penal law, as added by chapter 371 of the laws of 2022,  is  amended  to
     3  read as follows:
     4    (d)  libraries,  public  playgrounds,  public  parks, except any state
     5  forest preserve land located in the Adirondack and Catskill  parks,  and
     6  zoos;
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
