        Introduced  by  Sen.  STEC  --  read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
 
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to  the  capital
          district transportation district
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 1302 of the public authorities  law,  as  added  by
     2  chapter 460 of the laws of 1970, is amended to read as follows:
     3    §  1302.  Capital  District  transportation  district. There is hereby
     4  created and established a transportation district to  be  known  as  the
     5  Capital  District  transportation  district. This district shall embrace
     6  the counties of Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, and Saratoga  and  such
     7  of  the  following  counties as may elect to become members by action of
     8  their governing bodies as provided in subdivision ten of  section  thir-
     9  teen hundred three: Greene, Columbia, Montgomery, Fulton, Warren and any
    10  other  county  included within the upper Hudson planning and development
    11  region as designated by the state.  The  transportation  district  shall
    12  also  include  all  lands  and  water  and all lands under water and all
    13  rivers, lakes, bays and harbors within  any  of  the  counties  of  said
    14  district.
    15    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
