        Introduced  by  Sen.  SAVINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Health
 
        AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to adding opioid  use
          disorder  to  the list of conditions covered for lawful medical use of
          marihuana
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Subparagraph  (i)  of  paragraph  (a) of subdivision 7 of
     2  section 3360 of the public health law, as amended by chapter 403 of  the
     3  laws of 2017, is amended to read as follows:
     4    (i)  having one of the following severe debilitating or life-threaten-
     5  ing conditions: cancer, positive status for human immunodeficiency virus
     6  or acquired immune deficiency syndrome, amyotrophic  lateral  sclerosis,
     7  Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, damage to the nervous tissue of
     8  the  spinal  cord  with objective neurological indication of intractable
     9  spasticity,  epilepsy,   inflammatory   bowel   disease,   neuropathies,
    10  Huntington's  disease, post-traumatic stress disorder, opioid use disor-
    11  der, or as added by the commissioner; and
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
    13  have become a law; provided, however, that the amendments to subdivision
    14  7  of section 3360 of the public health law, made by section one of this
    15  act, shall not affect the repeal of such section  and  shall  be  deemed
    16  repealed therewith.
