        Introduced  by M. of A. SIMPSON -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development
 
        AN ACT to amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law,  in
          relation  to providing a fifty percent discount for state residents on
          admission fees to parks, recreational  facilities  or  historic  sites
          operated by the state office of parks, recreation and historic preser-
          vation  for  the  2022  season;  and  providing for the repeal of such
          provisions upon expiration thereof
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Section 13.15 of the parks, recreation and historic pres-
     2  ervation law is amended by adding a  new  subdivision  3-a  to  read  as
     3  follows:
     4    3-a.  Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivisions three and four of
     5  this section or of any other provision to the contrary, each resident of
     6  the state shall be entitled to a discount of fifty percent off two thou-
     7  sand twenty-two admission fees, as published by April first,  two  thou-
     8  sand  twenty-two, that such resident would otherwise have been responsi-
     9  ble for paying to obtain entry to any  park,  recreational  facility  or
    10  historic site.
    11    §  2.  This  act shall take effect immediately and shall apply only to
    12  entry fees charged during 2022; provided that this act shall expire  and
    13  be deemed repealed October 15, 2022.
