AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to the time
period for the Suffolk county water authority to file its annual
reports
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 1086 of the public authorities law, as amended by
2 chapter 838 of the laws of 1983, is amended to read as follows:
3 § 1086. Audit of authority; annual report. In conformity with the
4 provisions of section five of article ten of the constitution, the
5 accounts of the authority shall be subject to the supervision of the
6 state comptroller and such state comptroller and his legally authorized
7 representatives are hereby authorized and empowered from time to time to
8 examine the accounts and the books of the authority, including its
9 receipts, disbursements, contracts, leases, sinking funds, investments
10 and any other matters relating to its financial standing. The authority
11 shall annually submit to the governor and to the legislature and also to
12 the board of supervisors of Suffolk county a detailed report pursuant to
13 the provisions of section twenty-eight hundred of this chapter. Notwith-
14 standing the ninety day period set forth in paragraph (a) of subdivision
15 two of section twenty-eight hundred of this chapter, the authority shall
16 submit such detailed report within one hundred and twenty days after the
17 end of its fiscal year.
18 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
