Assembly Resolution No. 72

        CONCURRENT  RESOLUTION  OF  THE  SENATE AND ASSEMBLY
        providing for the election of four  Regents  of  the
        University of the State of New York
 
  WHEREAS,  The  term  of one Regent of the University of the State of
New York elected At Large and the term of one Regent of  the  University
of the State of New York elected from the fifth Judicial District expire
on  the  thirty-first  day of March in the year two thousand twenty-one;
and
 
  WHEREAS, The current terms of the Regents of the University  of  the
State  of  New  York  elected  from  the  seventh  and  twelfth Judicial
Districts are vacant due to resignation; and
 
  RESOLVED, (if the &HOUSE concur), That pursuant to the provisions of
section  202  of  the  education  law,  the  vacancies  created  by  the
expiration  of  these  terms  and  for  other cause are hereby filled by
concurrent resolution; and
 
  RESOLVED, (if the &HOUSE concur), That Elizabeth S. Hakanson of  the
county  of  Onondaga be re-elected Regent of the University of the State
of New York from the fifth Judicial District for a term  of  five  years
commencing  on  the  first  day  of  April  in  the  year  two  thousand
twenty-one; and
 
  RESOLVED, (if the &HOUSE concur), That Ruth B. Turner of the  county
of  Monroe  be elected Regent of the University of the State of New York
from the seventh Judicial District for a term  of  one  year  commencing
immediately; and
 
  RESOLVED,  (if  the  &HOUSE concur), That Dr. Aramina Vega Ferrer of
the county of Bronx be elected Regent of the University of the State  of
New  York  from  the  twelfth  Judicial District for a term of two years
commencing immediately; and
 
  RESOLVED, (if the &HOUSE concur), That Dr.  Luis  O.  Reyes  of  the
county  of New York be re-elected At Large a Regent of the University of
the State of New York for a term of five years commencing on  the  first
day of April in the year two thousand twenty-one.
