Senate Resolution No. 3103

        MOURNING   the   death   of   Albert   B.  Peters,
        distinguished citizen  and  devoted  member  of  his
        community
 
  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens  of  the  State  of  New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Albert Brothers Peters of Brooklyn, New York, died on March
6, 2020, at the age of 66; and
 
  WHEREAS, Born on February 17,1954 in Harlem Hospital, New York City,
to Albert Brother  Peters  and  Jean  Marie  Peters,  Albert  B.  Peters
attended Charles Evan High School and Staten Island College; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Albert  B.  Peters distinguished himself in his profession
and by his  sincere  dedication  and  substantial  contribution  to  the
welfare of his community; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Albert  B.  Peters  was  the  owner of a security company,
Brothers Security One; furthermore, he worked as a  Motor  Engineer  for
Amtrak  for  10  years, and was an authentic natural spoken word master;
and
 
  WHEREAS, Albert B. Peters's commitment to excellence, and his spirit
of humanity, carried over  into  all  fields  of  enterprise,  including
charitable and civic endeavors; and
 
  WHEREAS,  A  man  of  many  talents,  a  chef  by trade, and an avid
musician; Albert  B.  Peters  played  the  conga  drum  at  many  events
throughout his community; and
 
  WHEREAS,  When  he  moved  to Staten Island, Albert B. Peters became
very active in his community by serving as  a  member  of  many  boards;
blessed  with a gift of gab, he was also a champion for the needs in his
community; and
 
  WHEREAS, In 2019, Albert B. Peters became a Master Mason and  joined
Silver Lake Lodge No. 59, Prince Hall, State of New York, working within
the craft to bring unity to all; and
 
  WHEREAS, Albert B. Peters is survived by his wife, Oumie Peters; two
sons,  Kaliph and Sheihk Peters; his mother, Jean Marie Robinson-Peters;
two brothers, Reuben Brother Peters and Jamie Brother Peters; a  sister,
Diane  J.  Peters-Daniels;  four  nieces, Tyisha Potter, Nicole Jamison,
Natasha Peters, and Nigera Whittaker; and seven nephews, Bryant Jamison,
Rashan Peters, Isaiah  Daniels,  Jacob  Herrera,  Joseph  Herrera,  Amia
Richardson  and  Shareef  Richardson;  as well as a host of other family
members and friends; he will be truly missed by all those  who  had  the
privilege and honor of knowing him; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death  of  Albert  B.  Peters,  and  to  express  its  deepest
condolences to his family; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Albert B. Peters.
