Assemblyman Crespo joins Mayor Michael Bloomberg during the groundbreaking for the Sunshine Bronx Business Incubator at the historic BankNote building in Hunts Point.
New York State Assemblyman Marcos A. Crespo (D-Bronx) commends New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg for breaking ground on November 3rd on the Sunshine Bronx Business Incubator located in the historic BankNote Building at 890 Garrison Avenue. Assemblyman Crespo issued the following statement: “I am delighted that the Sunshine Bronx Business Incubator will open in my Assembly district and provide services for Bronx entrepreneurs. This Incubator Initiative will add to the great success of programs that have been serving Bronx residents for years, such as the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation and the Hunts Point Economic Development Corporation’s existing Entrepreneur Assistance Program. The workspaces to be provided at the incubator will include conference rooms, bi-weekly networking events, and support services including mentoring, coaching, and business training. Based upon the incubator's success in Manhattan, the Bronx program is expected to help many new and developing small businesses flourish in our communities. I look forward to February’s opening of the Sunshine Bronx Business Incubator and the services it will provide, and I am certain that the intellectual capital of Bronx residents and their desire to succeed will make the Bronx Incubator the most successful in the City of New York.”
