According to the BCCR, there are over 12,000 new cases of breast cancer and 3,500 reported breast-cancer-related deaths each year in New York State.
The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester will be holding its annual Pink Ribbon Run and Walk at Ontario Beach Park on Mother’s Day, May 8 at 9:00 a.m. For more information please visit their website.
“This Mother’s Day, I urge my constituents to remember the importance of their health,” said Reilich. “Breast cancer is a growing epidemic that can be treated best through early detection. You give to your families and your communities each and every day – on this day, remember to give the gift of health and peace of mind to yourself.”
