Hawley Urges Residents To Support National Wear Red Day

Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,C,I-Batavia) announced today that he is encouraging his constituents to participate in National Wear Red Day on February 6. Hawley said this day is set aside to draw attention to women’s issues such as heart health, and that maintaining an active lifestyle is important to help people flourish during their later years.

“In conjunction with the Genesee and Orleans County Health Departments and The Heart Truth, I am urging my constituents to actively support National Wear Red Day this Friday,” Hawley said. “Women’s health issues are very important to me, and a healthy heart is crucial to keep people active and avoid health issues later in life. Friday also officially kicks off American Heart Month.”

The Heart Truth is an organization that empowers women to live for their hearts and places great emphasis on drawing attention to National Wear Red Day.
