Assemblywoman Addie J. Russell presented a symbolic check in the amount of $4,150 to the Brownville Fire Department to fund an updated air pack used by the Department’s Rapid Intervention Team.
Assemblywoman Russell gained the funding in the budget process last winter through a legislative initiative commonly called a member item.
Brownville Fire Chief Steve Mott said, “Our Department is very grateful for this funding. It will be put to good use.”
Mrs. Russell indicated that, “My mission is to spread my member items broadly in smaller amounts to those organizations that deal directly in services to constituents. This air pack upgrade for Brownville fits right into that plan.”
