Assemblywoman Addie J. Russell announces state ban on synthetic marijuana
March 30, 2012
“I would like to commend the governor for ordering the Department of Health to ban the sale and distribution of synthetic marijuana. I have long been a supporter of banning synthetic cannabinoids and have co-sponsored two bills banning their sale and distribution.
“These substances pose a dangerous threat to the health and well being of the people of the North Country. The chemicals from synthetic marijuana are extremely harmful and can have long-lasting, devastating effects on the user. This ban will keep these dangerous substances off the street and away from our children.”
