Raia Named Member of Assembly Housing Committee
Post gives region another voice for homeowners in Albany

Assemblyman Andrew Raia (R,C,I,WF-East Northport) has been named a member of the state Assembly’s Housing Committee, the lawmaker announced today. "I am extremely pleased with this important committee assignment because it will give Long Island homeowners an additional voice in Albany," Raia said. The Housing Committee is responsible for all legislation dealing with the growth and preservation of housing throughout the state. "We must do more to make the cost of housing in Suffolk County reasonable for everyone. It will be my mission as a member of the Housing Committee to advance legislation that will help ease the burdens faced by the hardworking homeowners of Suffolk County," Raia commented. Raia also announced he will remain as the ranking Minority Member of the Aging Committee and will serve on the Social Services and Local Governments committees.
