Assemblyman Andrew Raia (R,I,C-East Northport) is teaming up with the United States Marine Corps and the Copenhagen Bakery this holiday season to provide goodwill and supplies to needy families within the community.
“I am pleased to be helping the United States Marine Corps conduct their annual Toys for Tots drive,” said Raia. “This is my fifth year participating in the drive and in the past, we have collected hundreds of new toys which have been delivered to underprivileged children living in the community.”
Assemblyman Raia is also working with the Copenhagen Bakery this holiday season in conducting Operation Warmth, a program that helps collect coats, hats and gloves for needy individuals and the Bakery’s continual non-perishable food drive.
“By partnering with Fleming and Stacie Hansen of Copenhagen Bakery this winter on behalf of Northport Food Pantry and Operation Warmth, we will be able to provide less fortunate members of the community with warm clothing and food for their tables during the holiday season and beyond,” said Raia.
Donated items for Toys for Tots, the food drive and Operation Warmth are being collected at Copenhagen’s Bakery located at 75 Woodbine Avenue, Northport. Collection boxes are also located at Assemblyman Raia’s district office, at the same location.
Assemblyman Raia noted that the Toys for Tots drive pickup date is December 18 and is requesting that all toys be dropped of at his district office by December 17. Donated items for Operation Warmth are being collected from December 2 through January 30.
