Raia Joins Art Students at The Heckscher Museum Of Art Portfolio Review Night
Assemblyman Andrew Raia (R,I,C-East Northport) joined Commack High School senior Chris Jung at the Heckscher Museum of Art Portfolio Review Night on October 21. Chris Jung, a promising artist, shared her portfolio with the Pratt Institute. Jung has developed her artistic skills and is familiar with many mediums. She works with oil paints, black and white acrylics, water colors, pastels and color pencils. Jung showed the Assemblyman her self portraits.
“The Heckscher Museum is giving art students a wonderful opportunity to share their work with several schools. The one-on-one attention these students receive is critical to their own artistic development,” said Raia. “I am always impressed by their talent. I am pleased to be here supporting the art students in my district.”
Raia also met with Heckscher Museum’s Executive Director, H.E. “Skip” Show, Jr., and Director of Grants, Elizabeth Wayland. They are an integral part of the success of the Art Portfolio Review Night.
