Raia Responds To Paterson’s State Of State Address

January 6, 2010

“It would have been hard for Governor Paterson to argue with a multi-billion dollar budget deficit and record unemployment across New York,” said Assemblyman Andrew Raia (R,I,C-East Northport).

“His State of the State today demonstrated a willingness to engage with the reality of a state on the brink of collapse, financially and politically. Unfortunately, we’ve seen this movie before. And, like ‘Groundhog Day,’ the same circumstances will continue to play themselves out, time and again, to the detriment of the average Long Islander, absent a real commitment to change from Albany’s out-of-touch leadership.”
