Assemblyman Andrew Raia (R,I,C-East Northport) hosted the annual awards ceremony for his Summer Healthy Points Challenge on Thursday, January 28 at the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center in Hauppauge. Elementary and intermediate-aged students were challenged to eat healthy and exercise for points in order to encourage the students to live a healthier lifestyle. The students who were able to beat Assemblyman Raia's point total were rewarded with a certificate of recognition as well as a pedometer, so that they can track their number of steps while exercising.

“I am extremely proud of each student who participated in the Summer Healthy Points Challenge," said Raia. "It is my hope that they will challenge themselves to beat their previous records, and I was happy to recognize their tremendous achievement.”
