Assemblyman Andrew Raia (R,I,C-East Northport) thanked all those who participated in his most recent “Operation Warmth” coat drive. The project, a partnership between Raia and Copenhagen Bakery, provides Long Island families in need with warm coats for the winter months. Between December 1 and January 15 hundreds of winter coats were dropped off at Raia’s district office and the bakery, both located in Northport. After the collection, the coats were given to the Family Service League for distribution.

“I want to thank all the individuals who donated coats to Operation Warmth,” said Raia. “Your generosity made this coat drive a huge success, resulting in assisting many local people in need. It is truly heartwarming to see so many people come out and help their neighbors.”
