Assemblyman Andrew Raia (R,I,C – East Northport) visited Camp Alvernia in Centerport today to meet with campers and participate in American Day as this year’s honorary camper. The assemblyman was greeted by 250 campers at a morning American Day celebration in which the participants dressed in red, white, and blue. “Camp Alvernia is a true treasure of Centerport and our Suffolk County community,” said Raia. “Here at Camp Alvernia there are endless activities that are sure to keep a child entertained during the summer months. It was great meeting with the kids and staff of the camp, and I am truly grateful to be named an honorary member.”
