“The new Governor is off to a good start, calling for essential reforms that will hopefully break the logjams that plague our state government.
I applaud Governor Spitzer’s speech, which outlines his agenda of cutting taxes, creating jobs, reforming state mandates, and assisting small businesses. I will work with Governor Spitzer, his administration, and my colleagues in the State Legislature during the coming legislative session so that these items, and a host of others, can move forward in the process.
Most importantly, I will continue my tireless efforts to meet the needs of the people of Orange and Rockland counties. As the Assemblywoman for the 97th district it is my sworn duty to deliver for the residents of these communities. I will fight for legislation that will help families thrive in the Hudson Valley. Our top priorities include cutting property taxes, enacting civil confinement, and revitalizing a struggling economy.
I look forward to a productive 2007 legislative session not just for the people of my district but for all New Yorkers.”
