An avid farmers’ market shopper herself, Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt (R,C,I-Greenwood Lake) would like to encourage all residents of Orange and Rockland counties to stop by their local farmers’ market.
“Right now farmers’ markets are in their summertime prime. Every vegetable and fruit you can imagine is in season and available to purchase. Many of our farmers’ markets are expanding to include baked goods, locally produced cheese and dairy products, and other locally harvested products such as honey. It’s the perfect time to Buy Local-Shop Local at your local farmers’ market or favorite farm stand,” said the assemblywoman.
To help encourage more residents to Buy Local-Shop Local at farmers’ markets, the assemblywoman will be posting this list of local markets on her official Assembly website.
