With the cost of higher education ever-increasing, Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt (R,I,C- Greenwood Lake) today announced a college scholarship available through Time Warner Cable East Region/NYC to eligible area students.
“It is exciting to see Time Warner Cable stepping up to better the community through their education scholarships,” said Rabbitt. “With the job market becoming more competitive, combined with an increased demand for math and the hard sciences, this scholarship is a wonderful way to help young people get started on a career in several emerging fields.”
A $3,000 scholarship is available to high school students who wish to pursue college education in science, technology, engineering or math. Students must have a 3.2 GPA and demonstrate a financial need. The student’s parent or guardian must be a Time Warner Cable customer.
For more information on this scholarship, contact Time Warner’s Education Hotline at 718-390-7007 or visit their Web site. As always, people may reach out to Assemblywoman Rabbitt with questions or concerns through Facebook or by e-mailing her at rabbitta@assembly.state.ny.us.
