Rabbitt Sharing Ideas with Members of the Sportsmen Community
May 9, 2011

Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt (R,C,I-Greenwood Lake) met with hunters, anglers, gun owners, and outdoor enthusiasts from across New York State this week at the annual Sportsmen’s Legislative Awareness Breakfast in Albany. Coming on the heels of the Assembly Minority Sportsmen and Outdoor Recreation Legislative Awareness Day, the breakfast helped to highlight the connection of outdoor recreation to local economic development and allowed concerned sportsmen to speak directly with their representatives in the state capitol.
The event was co-hosted by the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses, Conservation Alliance of New York, New York State Conservation Council, and others.
“Sportsmen and sportswomen help drive our local economy through sales, licenses, and conservation projects,” said Rabbitt. “In fact, New York hunters and anglers rank 10th in the nation in terms of the positive impact they have on counties, towns, and villages around the Empire State.”
