Palumbo: Attorney General Selection Sheds Light on What Albany Could Be

Statement from Assemblyman Anthony Palumbo (R,C,I,Ref-New Suffolk)
May 22, 2018

“Today’s selection of Barbara Underwood shows perfectly what conducting business in Albany looks like in a transparent and fair manner. Over the last two weeks, representatives from each conference of the Legislature held discussions and interviews with candidates that were open to the public, before ultimately selecting her as interim attorney general. Solicitor General Underwood is a perfect candidate to maintain continuity in the office, and since she holds no ambitions of running in November, the distractions of campaigning are a non-issue, the voters will decide who will be New York’s next attorney general in November.”
