Assemblyman Brindisi: Oneida County Budget Shows Mandate Relief is Desperately Needed

“I am still in the process of combing through the Oneida County budget, and I will continue to meet with local officials to address specific unfunded mandates that have tied their hands for too long. Now more than ever it’s evident that the state must address the burdensome unfunded mandates placed on our municipalities and schools. The time has come for the state to take over the local share of Medicaid costs, and stop passing the buck onto Mohawk Valley families.”
