Assemblymember Anthony Brindisi delivers for Mohawk Valley families
March 30, 2012
“Mohawk Valley families deserve nothing less than an on-time, fiscally responsible budget that makes the most out of every taxpayer dollar. We delivered that.
“Although we had to make many tough decisions, we were able to deliver a budget that made sure vital services were retained, including funding to help keep the Air Force Laboratory, DFAS and the Eastern Air Defense Sector in Rome; keeping the DOT office in Utica; and an increased commitment to education.
“While the budget process is over, more still needs to be done to ease the burden of costly unfunded mandates on our local schools and municipalities. I will continue fighting to keep Albany from passing the buck on to local taxpayers.”
