Assemblymember Brindisi Calls On the Legislature to Take Swift Action to Crack Down On Public Corruption
May 6, 2013
“This latest indictment completely disgusts me, and is yet another sign that we must take action to put an end to pay to play culture here in New York. That’s why, in addition to supporting legislation that will strip away any official’s state pension when they are found guilty of violating the public’s trust, I am also a supporter of the Fair Election Act of 2013, which will get “big money” out of campaigns.
The common thread of all these scandals involves money, making it more urgent than ever to do all we can to get the money out of politics.”
