Assemblymember Brindisi’s ‘Capture the Mohawk Valley’ Winner Spends Day at the Capitol
June 24, 2013

Asssemblymember Anthony J. Brindisi (D-Utica) announced that the winner of his “Capture the Mohawk Valley” photo contest, Tim Heintz from Whitesboro High School, recently spent the day visiting the Capitol with the Assemblymember. Tim won the contest with a striking photo of the Utica sky at night.

“Tim submitted a beautiful photo of the Utica sky which embodied the mission of this contest – to highlight the beauty around us in the Mohawk Valley,” Assemblymember Brindisi said. “I was proud to show him around the Capitol. I hope he and his family enjoyed watching the Assembly at work.”

Tim’s visit came on the final day of the session, which afforded him a unique and close up view of how the legislative process works. He was able to observe the floor debate on the landmark Women’s Equality Act and receive a behind the scenes look at the day-to-day schedule of an Assemblymember.

“I really enjoyed coming out here to shadow Assemblymember Brindisi and experience what goes on in our government,” Tim Heintz said. “It is something I will always remember and I would like to thank Assemblymember Brindisi for this opportunity.”
