Albany – During the 41st Annual New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators, Inc Conference Weekend, Assemblywoman Barbara Clark, who serves as the Education Chair of the Association will host “A Public Policy Discussion: Middle Schools: The Bridge That Fails”.
The policy discussion analyzes whether or not education “reforms” implemented by the State, the Bloomberg administration and the other “big five” school districts, are effectively closing the achievement gap amongst middle grade students. Further, the public policy discussion will allow stakeholders of color to be participatory early in conversations regarding reforms to middle grade education.
Registration for the conference is not required to attend the discussion. Admission is free and open to the public.
