Statement from Assemblywoman Barbara Clark on Memorial Day
May 28, 2012

“Today I offer my deep gratitude to the men and women of our nation’s armed services who for generations have defended our country and put their lives on the line for our freedom and security. They selflessly give themselves so that strangers across the world may have freedom and peace. Memorial Day offers an opportunity for each of us to commemorate and reflect the tremendous sacrifice of the service members who lost their lives fighting. This Memorial Day, we recommit ourselves to all of America’s service members – those who lost their lives fighting for all of us, those who continue to put themselves in harm’s way, and all of the veterans and military families who we are so proud to support. Our community especially salutes the unparalleled dedication to our country by our Queens Village Post #301”.
