Dear Neighbor,

Over the years, I have made it my mission to bring reform to Albany because of the high tax burden that is driving both families and businesses out of our state. This is especially true during these difficult economic circumstances when families are being saddled with financial debt while the jobless rate rises.

In times like these, the last thing families need is a greater financial burden. That’s why I oppose any new tax increases as a way to balance the budget. Albany should tighten its belt as most of our families have been forced to do. The time has come to end Albany’s longstanding tradition of “tax-and-spend” policies.

Additionally, I have used my platform as the Ranking Minority member of the Small Business Task Force and a small-business owner myself to advocate for lower taxes on the small businesses that employ the majority of families across our state.

In my travels across New York’s 62 counties with the Small Business Task Force, I have seen businesses struggling to survive. Taxes are driving businesses out of our state, overseas or forcing them to close their doors. It is time to stop the exodus of businesses from our great state by minimizing the tax burden on hardworking families and the businesses that employ them. This will help provide work for our friends and neighbors right here in New York state, rather than sending jobs overseas.

Please take the time to navigate through this site and become familiar with what I am doing here in Albany, home in Monroe County and across the state. Feel free to contact me any time because it is the active citizen that keeps government in check. Please e-mail, call or write to stay in contact with me. I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
