Oaks Unveils “New Edison Project”

Assemblyman Bob Oaks (R,C-Macedon) recently joined members of the Assembly minority conference in unveiling the New Edison Project, a plan aimed at encouraging students to study in the fields of math, science and engineering at New York state colleges and universities.

Incentives include a Statewide High School Science Fair with scholarships as prizes, E-TAP money awarded to those in academic majors pertaining to math or science, and a loan forgiveness program for students who major in math, science and engineering in exchange for a five year commitment to work in New York state.
