School Leaders Gather With Manhattan’s Elected Officials

October 15, 2009

The Council of School Supervisors and Administrators (CSA) held a Legislative Reception on October 15, 2009 at the National Arts Club on the southern border of Gramercy Park.

Representing Assemblymember Brian Kavanagh, Cameron Peterson joined many elected officials, including Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, Assemblymembers Deborah Glick and Jonathan Bing, City Councilmember Rosie Mendez, and representatives from Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver’s and State Senator Tom Duane’s offices, as well as community members and current and retired principals, directors, administrators, and other school leaders from every school district in Manhattan in recognizing the work of the Council. CSA, a member of the AFL-CIO, represents over 6,400 active school leaders and 10,000 retirees.

Kavanagh was unable to attend the reception in person because he was in Albany for a committee hearing, but looks forward to continuing to work with the principals and school administrators in the 74th Assembly District and throughout New York.
