Assemblyman Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) today was appointed by Assembly Minority Leader James N. Tedisco (R,C,I-Schenectady, Saratoga) to serve on the Assembly Minority Task Force on Small Business in New York State.
The Small Business Task Force recognizes that the present and future growth and prosperity of the state’s economy is intimately connected to the vitality of the small business community. The Task Force will travel the state to gather input and feedback from small businesses and their representative organization regarding government policies that impede the development of small businesses. It will also examine policies to remove the impediments and help small businesses grow.
“Small businesses are truly the heart of New York’s economy,” said Assemblyman Kolb. “As a former business owner, I understand the challenges that small businesses often face in New York. We need to help businesses prosper not place obstacles in their way. I thank Leader Tedisco for appointing me to this important task force and am looking forward to developing solutions that will help small businesses create jobs and revitalize our economy.”
Kolb said he will bring the task force to the Rochester area in the coming months to host a roundtable discussion with small business owners and other interested parties.
