Assemblyman Brian Kolb (R,C,I –Canandaigua) is teaming up with the United States Marine Corps Reserve in support of their annual “Toys for Tots” program. This year marks the seventh anniversary of Kolb’s partnership with some of our nation’s finest in an effort to bring holiday joy to boys and girls throughout the Finger Lakes region.
“I want to extend the invitation to everyone in our community to bring new, unwrapped toys to my district office or one of the several locations supporting this drive to help bring joy on Christmas day to one of the many less fortunate boys and girls in our community,” said Kolb. “I am hopeful that we can collect more toys this year than we did last season.”
Kolb noted that now through Dec. 14, residents can drop off new, unwrapped toys at his district office at 607 West Washington St., Suite 2, Geneva. Residents may also drop off toys at any of the following locations:
Lyons National Bank
399 Exchange Street, Geneva
Arby's Roast Beef Restaurant
280 Hamilton Street, Geneva
Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce
113 S. Main Street, Canandaigua
Canandaigua VA Hospital
400 Fort Hill Ave., Canandaigua
Seneca County Chamber of Commerce
2020 Seneca Falls-Waterloo Rd, Seneca Falls
Initiated in 1947 by USMC Reserve Maj. Bill Hendricks, Toys for Tots quickly became the nation’s flagship Christmas endeavor. Since its inception, the Marines have distributed over 300 million toys to needy children.
