Minority Leader Brian Kolb And Assembly Minority Unveil Final Report Of Task Force On Workforce Issues In The Correctional System

Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,I,C-Canandaigua) is pictured (center) unveiling the final report of the Assembly Minority Conference’s Task Force on Workforce Issues in the Correctional System during a press conference in Albany. In June of 2009, Kolb formed the Task Force – Co-Chaired by Assemblymen Gary Finch and Joe Giglio – to explore ways to improve safety and security within state prisons and ensure the most efficient use of taxpayer dollars. The Task Force held 10 public forums in Albany, Alden, Auburn, Comstock, Fishkill, Gouverneur, Malone, New Windsor and Verona in the summer and fall of 2009, and the testimony received formed the basis of the report’s recommendations.
