Brian Kolb Re-Elected Leader Of The New York State Assembly Minority Conference

Statement from Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,I,C-Canandaigua)
November 15, 2010

“This afternoon, my colleagues provided me the honor, privilege and responsibility of continuing to serve as Leader of our Assembly Minority Conference. I was humbled by their vote of confidence and their strong support of my leadership, and I pledged to continue doing my very best to move our Conference and its public policy agenda forward. The next two years will provide no shortage of challenges for our Conference, its partners in government and all New Yorkers: a multi-billion dollar budget deficit needing closure, a government that is still too big and spends too much, chronic unemployment, some of the nation’s highest taxes and a continued lack of public confidence in state government. Our Conference and I have made addressing each of these challenges a top priority and we will continue strongly making our case with a growing membership. The Assembly Minority Conference is united and more committed than ever to advancing real solutions such as delivering mandate relief, cutting government spending, lowering taxes and growing the private sector so we can restore the unfulfilled promise of New York.”
